Fun inspires fun. Turns out all I need is a life-giving insta story of a weekend on bikes with pals out in SF (courtesy of my man RJ) to inspire me to do the same. 24 hours later, Daniel and I booked our flights. Within the next week we had Elan and Eric on board. Three (four?) days in SF to rip bikes, consume as many pastries and coffees as our bodies could handle, and HAVE FUN. Despite the unexpected chill that seems to reside over the bay area for far too long, we thrived. All the classics; Hawk Hill loop, Mt Tam with the dam side descents, a finisher around Paradise Cay. Fixed a flat for a local (my long lost crush…), watched my pals have their breath stolen at the peak of Tam, accidentally ate at a Michelon star restaurant, phenomenal coffee at the Coffee Movement, and found my confidence on a bike again. On our last day after our morning ride, the boys visited the redwoods while I went on a 2-a-day with RJ up Twin Peaks and around town.
